TVR - what it means to own one

Now affordable, TVR is a classic example of British sports car manufacturing. Founded in Blackpool by TreVoR Wilkinson these popular high-end performance cars were produced for speed and prestige with their lightweight Microplas Mistal bodywork and powerful engines.

Originally built as one-off specials, TVR moved into mainstream car production in the early 1950’s with the TVR Sports Saloon, effectively sold as a kit car succeeded by the 1.5L TVR Coupe.

More recognisable models were later produced including the TVR Griffith, TVR Tuscan, TVR Cerbera and TVR Tasmin to name a few. Although not renowned for their reliability, TVR’s curves and engine notes turned many a head on British and European roads making them the pride and joy of their enthusiast owners.
